Starlight Threads is a series of works on paper working with gradients created from image recognition code created to analyse the colour of starlight. I combine the gradients from starlight with threads exploring form and colour to further add the colours of the cosmos.

This is a large-scale piece which has been created from the light found in the constellation Lyra with threads matched to the colours found in the stars and space around the constellation.

Details of the piece
Each Starlight Thread is an original piece, embroidered by hand by me in my studio.
Digital print on Cold pressed watercolour paper with Thread.
The watercolour paper is 300gsm and has a light/medium texture.
 
Framing
The piece is not framed however I can easily generate a quote for framing, I recommend a float mount in a box frame so the threads do not touch the glass as well as Art Glass glazing.

Due to the size of the piece, framing starts at £150.

I am happy to work on commission.
