This print is a core piece of my 'If Clouds Were Mountains' series which is a body of work that looks at the the amazing landscape and clouds of Quindio.

Captured on expired 35mm film, this shot leans into the beautiful unpredictability of the medium. The natural, heavy grain gives the clouds a painterly, almost tactile quality, shifting the soft pastels into something that feels ancient and grounded. It’s about that quiet, awe-inspiring feeling of looking up and seeing a whole new world formed for just a few seconds before the wind moves on.

In addition to the images I also create large textile works based on the clouds and the landscape, head on over to 'If Clouds Were Mountains' page to learn more.

This image was taken using a Pentax ME Super using expired 35mm colour film from 2006

The image was taken on top of an apartment building in Armenia capital of the Quindío region in Colombia in the Summer of 2025
