The story behind the work: 
Artwork Details: Hand embroidery with embroidery thread sewn over a photographic slide print mounted on watercolour paper.
The Photograph: Features a original found photographic slide from the late 1960s/1970s. I love this image for its candid, everyday slice-of-life feeling capturing a quiet moment in a living room maybe testing the camera or the image could just be an accident.
The Design: The geometric embroidery pattern draws inspiration from mid-century and post-war textile design, echoing the iconic aesthetic of the era and the thread colours are pulled directly from the warm tones and rich nostalgia of the original photograph.

Each piece is dispatched in a secure cardboard envelope/flat box with a tracked courier service which also includes insurance.
Shipping within the UK is provided by Royal Mail tracked 48 hour service.
Shipping outside of the UK is provided by UPS.
